Airport Facilities Construction Worker

Overview

Lead, plan, oversee and participate in the more complex and difficult work of staff responsible for the construction, installation, repair, maintenance, and remodeling of airport facilities. Coordinate activities, personnel, material and equipment necessary to complete assigned construction projects and perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.

• High school diploma or GED supplemented by thirty (30) credit hours vocational training in construction, carpentry, plumbing, or welding
• Four (4) years of experience in general building or facility construction

• Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire
• Must be able to successfully qualify for and maintain a Sunport Access Control Card as determined by the criteria set forth by the policies and guidelines of the Aviation Department and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
• Successful completion of a security background check conducted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection
