About This RoleWork will consist of installations, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, and associated materials and equipment within the high‑voltage substation electrical industry.
Position requires 100% travel anywhere throughout the Mid West.
Position DetailsPay:
This is a non‑exempt hourly role. The pay range is $27.69 – $46.86 / hour.
- Install and assemble high‑voltage equipment such as transformers, breakers, switches, bus work, and control panels
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans
- Build grounding systems, conduit runs, cable trays, and structural supports
- Pull, terminate, and label control wiring and power cables
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as required
- Perform equipment testing, inspections, and quality checks
- Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and industry regulations
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades on‑site
- Document work performed and report on issues to leadership
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years previous substation construction or equivalent experience
- Active, Valid Driver's License
- Valid CDL A is preferred
- Line School Certificate or Transcripts preferred
