We’re looking for an Operator Telecom Construction Equipment to join our team and help connect America. The Operator Telecom Construction Equipment can operate a variety of equipment, used in installation, repair, and maintenance activities associated with underground construction or utilities, in a safe and effective manner.

What you’ll do
  • You will safely operate drill equipment on job site, which may include but not be limited to directional drill, backhoe/excavator, skid steer, tractor trailer (moving equipment/haul water), vacuum truck/trailer.
  • You will restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the job site.
  • You will develop and maintain a bore schedule.
  • You will be responsible for the site set‑up and clean‑up.
  • You will load and unload tools, materials and equipment on truck.
  • You will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis and JSA prior to starting construction.
  • You will set up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers, and at times flagging traffic.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to operate company equipment or to drive company vehicles.
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
  • Valid standard Driver’s License or a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement (CDL required).
  • Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening.
  • Must attend and pass all company required training as needed.
  • May be required to work over‑time, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies, or be on‑call as needed.
  • May include working nights and holidays as needed.
  • May be required to travel in state or overnight as necessary.
  • Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position.
Additional qualifications
  • Experience running heavy equipment preferred.
  • Experience with drill set‑up and design processes is preferred.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed, with or without assistance.
  • Experience with drilling equipment and understanding their capabilities and limitations.
  • Proficient use of locators to safely identify utilities.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions.
  • Ability to climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects.
  • Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus near and/or far as needed.
  • Employees may be exposed to dust, fumes, toxic chemicals, moving machinery parts, and other airborne pathogens.
  • Remote work may be required; long driving and sitting will be required.
  • The noise level in the work environment for this position is moderate.
Physical & Safety Requirements and the Working Environment
  • Duties will require standing, crouching, sitting, bending, using hands and fingers to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms to spaces both high and low.

  • Employees performing functions of this position are regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, inclement weather such as rain, snow, sleet, dust, and adverse driving conditions including wet roads, icy roads, and fog.
Pay Range

The hourly wage range for Operator Telecom Construction Equipment is $20.00 – $35.00, depending on experience.
