Installation Technician II – Hussmann

Join the Hussmann team as an Installation Technician II and support the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of HVAC/R systems in supermarkets, convenience stores, and cold storage facilities.

In this role you will assist with the installation of refrigeration systems and help maintain and repair HVAC/R equipment across a variety of retail environments. The position offers bi‑annual bonuses, paid training, company vehicle, and a paid drive time structure. • Complete assigned projects on time, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Learn through on‑the‑job training, including new product developments and service bulletins.
• Maintain accurate time sheets and complete necessary customer paperwork for invoicing.
• Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and other technical documents related to cabling, communication loops, and refrigerant leak systems.
• Perform tasks such as soldering copper pipe, installing PVC drain pipe, installing blower coils, orifice valves, and other mechanical work detailed in the project scope.
• Read, analyze, and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Maintain and manage truck inventory, adhering to vehicle maintenance program guidelines.
• Manage multiple priorities with minimal guidance and direction.

• High school diploma or equivalent; 10 years of related experience and/or training; or technical degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years directly related experience.
• EPA 608 certification preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and work at high elevations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and project‑management skills.
