We need a skilled, detail‑oriented fiber splicer to install and maintain fiber optic networks. Responsibilities include precise splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while ensuring low insertion loss and signal integrity.

• Prepare fiber optic cables for splicing by stripping, cleaning, cleaving, and organizing fibers.
• Conduct comprehensive optical testing using OTDRs and other equipment to verify splice quality and network performance.
• Maintain accurate splice logs, test reports, and network schematics.
• Collaborate with engineers to diagnose and resolve fiber connectivity issues.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, repairing and restoring damaged fiber infrastructure.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot splicing equipment.
• Stay updated on industry trends and participate in training.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
• Proven fiber optic splicing and network installation experience.
• Proficiency with fusion splicing machines, cleavers, OTDRs, and related tools.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to generate technical documentation such as splice logs and test reports.
• Problem‑solving skills to diagnose and troubleshoot network issues.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Work in various weather conditions and confined spaces; lift, climb, and be on call for emergencies.
