DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Network Administrator to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Network Administrator involves managing and maintaining network, server, and storage infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in implementing robust security controls and providing support for both cloud and on‑premises environments.
Responsibilities- Plan, design, and implement network infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage systems, and cloud environments.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, proxies, VPNs, and other security measures to protect enterprise assets.
- Analyze and enforce secure configurations for critical systems, adhering to corporate standards and regulations.
- Manage network technologies such as route/switch, Wi‑Fi, and hyperconverged infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity.
- Collaborate with telecommunications vendors to upgrade circuits and communication links.
- Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans for network operations.
- Install, configure, and support VoIP systems and communication technologies across various platforms.
- Conduct troubleshooting and analysis of network issues, including traffic shaping and port‑level filtering.
- Maintain and optimize load balancers, wireless access points, and other connectivity tools.
- Oversee the integration of serial and IP communications between primary and backup control centers.
- Other duties as needed.
- Minimum of two years of hands‑on experience in network infrastructure implementation and maintenance.
- Proficiency in managing firewalls, DDoS protection, proxies, and load‑balancing technologies.
- Working knowledge of routing and switching protocols, including Cisco Networking and collaboration tools.
- Familiarity with Windows Active Directory, VMware, and wireless controller support.
- Experience with Voice over IP systems and cellular modem connectivity.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Preferred certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Network+, Security+, or CISSP.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required.
- Background and drug test required prior to employment.
