As a Senior Meat Cutter you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

• Be a Team Member – Collaborates with cross-functional teams and helps educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources. Communicates effectively and develops interpersonal skills for providing customer service, remaining flexible to the needs of the business, tracking goods, maintaining inventory levels, and controlling shrinkage.
• Be an Expert – Maintains in-depth knowledge of the various types and seasonality of different meat products, equipment usage, and backroom operations. Provides meat products to members by processing meat according to specifications (cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping), ensuring compliance with food safety standards and sanitation guidelines, and managing inventory. Operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment.
• Be a Techie – Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Utilizes handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind, adapts to new tools, and encourages others to use them.
• Be an Owner – Drives business results, ensures commitment to operational excellence, plans for profitability, and maintains a work area according to company policies and procedures. Ensures quality and standards for high-volume meat products, eliminates waste, secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise, assists members with purchasing decisions, and ensures merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored properly.
• Be a Talent Ambassador – Advocates for the department and the club by valuing the members’ experience in the meat area, modeling high-quality service and products, and executing basics at the highest possible level of quality. Interacts with associates to understand roadblocks, assists in training them to perform job‑related duties.
• Complies with company policies – Implements related action plans using the Open Door Policy and applies them in executing business processes and practices.
• Completes work assignments – Uses policies, data, and resources to collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners. Identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carries out tasks; communicates progress and information; determines and recommends ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapts to change.
