• Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including systems start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stockroom are ready.
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with all team members, including greeting, eye contact, courtesy, and Walgreens service traits such as proactive help, identifying needs, and servicing until satisfied.

• Hold store keys to open and close the store without management when necessary.
• Assist and coach team members with warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including opening the backdoor for deliveries.
• Record all sales on assigned cash registers, including scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
• Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions on release day and reverse logistics.
• Assist in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise, and complete resets and revisions.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts for basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
• Ensure the Outdate program is followed with team members.
• Handle basic department pricing, make daily price changes, and ensure signage supports accurate pricing.
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports, counts, ledgers, and bill payments as needed.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring a clean, neat, orderly store condition.
• Separate food items and assist in stock rotation using FIFO.
• Possess working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Assist at the pharmacy out window as requested.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Conduct bag checks for team members before leaving the store.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager.

• Serve as liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks when store management is absent.
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)

• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• Consideration for qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
• Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
