Position Summary
Under direct supervision of the Banquet Supervisor, takes food and beverage orders from the guests, prepares the beverages ordered and serves the guests.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Table Service & Guest Interaction- Serve, bus, set, and clean tables in designated wait stations.
- Pour drinks and garnish food for serving.
- Submit food orders to the kitchen and provide guest checks for payment processing.
- Serve customers in a responsive, caring, prompt, and courteous manner.
- Provide excellent customer service in the restaurant as needed.
- Assist with the functions of running a smooth and on-time event.
- Always maintain a clean and orderly service area.
- Become familiar with and apply available discounts as appropriate.
- Keep floors and tables clean during service.
- Ensure general cleanliness in service areas to meet health and safety standards.
- Answer and address customer questions and complaints and take messages for staff.
- Maintain good communication with co-workers and contribute to a positive and professional work environment.

Minimum QualificationsHigh School Degree or GED plus some experience in the restaurant or food service area as wait staff or cashier. Must be at least 19 years of age with current alcohol certification. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation. Native American preference will be given.
Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications- Knowledge of dining and food maintenance operations and customer service.
- Knowledge of all menu items including entrees, side dishes, beverages, and desserts.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to be personable, responsive, caring, knowledgeable, and flexible with all customers.
- Ability to service customers in a professional appearance and manner.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a stressful and busy environment.
- Ability to obtain food handler's certification within three months.
