Position Summary

Responsible for counter service and cooking at our Off‑site snack bars, maintains the overall cleanliness of each food and beverage operation.

All while promoting and exhibiting World Class Guest Service to all the Isleta Resort and Casino employee and guests.

All Team Members will display 100% commitment to World Class Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of Guest Service Standards established by the Isleta Resort and Casino.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Answers customers' questions, and provides information on procedures or policies. Establishes or identifies prices of goods, services or admission, and tabulates bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners.
  • Greets customers entering establishments.
  • Maintains clean and orderly checkout areas.
  • Receives payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
  • Performs accurate and timely registering of cash sales or complimentary meal (non-cash) sales
  • Computes or re-computes bill, itemized lists, and tickets showing amount due. Enters billing information into cash register as required
  • Makes change and issues receipts to customers
  • Counts cash and cash items at the beginning and at the end of the shift, and reconciles those items with the cash balance.
  • Prepares various reports of transactions. Reads and records totals shown on cash register tape, and verifies against cash on hand. Promptly reports discrepancies to Supervisor.
  • Enters bill and initials credit memorandums for any complimentary meals
  • Verifies signature authority in all credit memorandums
  • Operates cash register by entering cost data as required to record price, compiles printed list and display cost of customer purchase and tax on monitor screen
  • Accurately and promptly records any tip taken at register on tip sheet at end of shift.
  • May be assigned to serve during concerts and/or special events
  • Performs each complete financial transaction in routine order and one at a time. Is alert for fraud.
  • Does not make additional charge or otherwise engage in another financial transaction with customer until the food service billing is complete, including providing customer with any change due.
  • Follows all guest service standards as defined by the company and the position of Off‑site Attendant.
  • Obtains and maintains all required licenses of food handlers in the state. Display as appropriate.
  • Sets up and maintains the kitchen in clean working order on a day‑to‑day basis
  • Maintains a safe working area for all food preparation.
  • Follows the FDA Food Code for food sanitation and safety.
  • Cooks and prepares food according to the highest quality standards
  • Dates all food for storage and rotates stock to assure quality food products
  • Assists manager in controlling and accounting for all inventory levels
  • Other duties as assigned by Management to assist with daily operation of the facility
  • Assures cleanliness of eating/service areas at all times
  • Serves alcoholic beverages in compliance with our Regulations and SOPs on alcohol service.

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma and/or General Educational Degree (GED) equivalent, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and Alcohol awareness programs.
  • Minimum 2 years in cash handling or food service and some table service experience preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Indian Health Services Food Handler’s Certification, required.
  • Must have at least (A) one year of full‑time or equivalent part‑time, experience in the preparation and cooking of food in a hotel, restaurant, cafeteria, catering firm, government or private institution, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
