DVM/VMD Externship Opportunity at iVET

We’re offering a 7‑month externship for veterinary students seeking exposure to a full range of cases and hands‑on medical and surgical experience. Our locally owned six‑doctor practice in the historic Nob Hill district of Albuquerque, NM, mentors students and externs in a collaborative, team‑based environment.
About the ClinicAztec Animal Clinic has a strong team atmosphere and a unique mentorship capability. The practice features a 4.25-to‑1 support staff‑to‑doctor ratio and a dedicated operating room with advanced monitoring.
Internship Details- Unpaid externship, 2‑6 weeks
- Case rounds throughout the day
- Monthly DVM meetings to discuss the latest journal articles
- Digital ultrasound and radiography
- Digital dental radiography
- Dedicated OR with doppler blood pressure monitoring, capnography, etc.
- Benchside laboratory testing
- Extensive pharmacy
