Emergency​/Critical Care Vet

Roadrunner Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is the only non-corporate, locally-owned ER in the Albuquerque area and we're hiring! Full‑time ER vets only work 3 shift per week and have the other 4 days per week off to enjoy family, hobbies or other interests. We currently have 8 vets on our team and we'd love to add 2 more!

Pay starts at $180,000 base for experienced ER vets plus 25% of production with no negative accrual. A weekend/overnight differential is available for veterinarians interested in those shifts. We offer paid health insurance, $5,000 CE allowance, heavily discounted care for personal pets, a full‑time staff counselor, matching 401K retirement plan and PTO (in addition to the ability to trade shifts for additional time off) and a loyalty bonus for long‑term team members as part of our benefit package.

Our new building was completed in spring 2024 and offers a separate ICU, Snyder oxygen cage, 12 exam rooms, 2 surgical suites, a CT scanner, endoscopy, ultrasound and more. We have a board‑certified surgeon on staff who also serves as our Medical Director.
