Join Our Team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner – General Medicine in New Mexico!

Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a passion for providing exceptional patient care? We are seeking motivated and skilled Locum Nurse Practitioners to join our esteemed team in New Mexico. This vital role offers the flexibility to work across various locations, supporting the health and well-being of veterans and communities while enjoying competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

In this role, you will conduct non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, primarily interview-based with select physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing. You will play a key part in assisting our nation's Veterans, ensuring they receive the quality evaluations they deserve, all within a flexible PRN schedule. Whether you prefer half-day or full-day shifts, this position offers the operational flexibility to match your availability and expertise.

Required Skills:

Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification

Experience or familiarity with general medicine or veteran assessments

Strong interviewing and documentation skills

Ability to perform basic physical assessments

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities

Nice to Have

Skills:

Prior experience with Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams

Knowledge of veteran healthcare regulations and procedures

Ability to work independently and remotely

Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Preferred

Education and Experience:

Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)

Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as an NP

Experience in internal medicine, family medicine, orthopedics, or related fields

Other Requirements:

Must have own office location within a 50-mile radius of assigned testing sites

Availability to work on specific days at designated locations in Silver City, Deming, Hobbs, and Grants, NM

Ability to work on a PRN basis with ongoing assignments

Willingness to complete required credentialing and onboarding promptly

Valid state licensure in New Mexico

No travel reimbursements; travel costs are included in the pay rate

Hourly Pay Rate: $402.00
