Locum Emergency Medicine APP - Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

High-functioning emergency care team in the Albuquerque area, where APP team supports fast track / urgent care volume. This locum assignment offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment with modern facilities and a collaborative department structure.

• Assignment Dates: Ongoing locum opportunity (credentialing approx. 4–6 months; expedited options being explored)
• Must be available for at least 6 shifts a month
• Schedule:
  12-hour shifts — 7a–7p or 7p–7a
• Two free-standing ER / urgent care hybrid facilities serving the Albuquerque community
• Patient volume: ~48k annually at one site; ~90k at the second location
• APPs see most urgent care patients while Physicians primarily manage ER cases
• Typical pace: 2–3 UC patients per hour
• Epic EMR system across both sites
• Travel: Paid travel and expenses provided
• Well-equipped facilities including trauma-designated ED beds

• Be able to do the job as described
• Family or Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP or FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• 1+ years of Fast Track/Urgent care or ER experience is required
• New Mexico physician license required (client not accepting non-licensed candidates currently)
• Comfortable working in a combined ER / urgent care environment
• BLS certification required
• Team-oriented provider committed to timely documentation and department collaboration
