Position:
Registered Nurse, Surgery. Role:
Clin Nurse III at Covenant Health.
Employment type:
Full time, 72 hours per pay period. Sign-on bonus: $15,000 for Experienced RNs. Work setting:
Full time Day Surgery at LeConte Medical Center.

Responsibilities- Correlates patient history and support systems within hospital and nursing home care.
- Assesses needs of patient and family.
- Develops and initiates the plan of care, involving patient and family.
- Recommends interventions and evaluates the plan of care.
- Provides clinical expertise to resolve complex patient/management/physician problems without supervision.
- Demonstrates competency in age-specific care and delivery of care.
- Leads process improvement initiatives in the unit or participates in facility teams.
- Precepts new employees/students or participates in preceptor workshops; may review clinical performance with the unit leader or instructor.
- Provides four contact hours of educational activities (excluding basic patient education).
- Contributes to unit orientation program development and evaluation.
- Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and sitters as assigned.
- Follows policies, procedures, safety standards; completes required education; participates in quality improvement as requested.
- P erforms other duties as assigned.
- Minimum Education: Not specified; must meet standards for license/certification as required by the issuing authority.
- Minimum Experience: Minimum of three (3) years professional experience.
- License Requirement: Tennessee State RN licensure; CPR required.
