- ** Position:
** Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- ** Shift Schedules:** - Night 3x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00) - Night 4x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00)
- ** Patient Ratios:** - Days: 1:5 - Nights: 1:5 - Weekends: 1:5
- ** Required
Certifications:
** - BLS - ACLS - Preferred: CPI
- ** Essential
Skills:
** - Cardiovascular expertise (Post MI and Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery preferred) - Sheath Removal, Post Cardiac Angiogram - IV insulin protocols, Feeding tube care and management - Blood Product Administration, Central line care and management - Manage Cardiac drips, PCA, and Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring - Wound Care/Wound Vac management preferred
- ** Work Environment:** - Telemetry and Cardiac Telemetry - Monitoring of dysrhythmias and emergency response handling - Interdisciplinary support from various teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, etc.)
- ** Census Information:** - Daily census of 38 patients - 55 beds available in the unit
- ** Key Details:** - 2 years of experience preferred (1+ years accepted) - 1st Time Travelers welcomed - Float required, On-call not required - Orientation hours: 24 - Scrub color:
Any (no logo) - Documentation system: EPIC
- ** Patient Demographics:** - Adults and Geriatrics - Common patient diagnoses: CHF, Stemi/Nstemi, and other cardiovascular-related issues
