AMG Specialty Hospital – Albuquerque is seeking a Full Time Charge Nurse, RN for Days with ICU/Step-down experience. Supervises the patient care activities performed by other RNs, LPN/LVNs, and CNAs. Communicates with Physicians/CCO/staff about changes in patient condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Fosters a positive milieu in the hospital.
Keeps CCO and CEO apprised of situations that may place the facility vides direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity.

Responsibilities- Supervises the patient care activities performed by other RNs, LPNs/LVNs, and CNAs.
- Communicates with Physicians/CCO/staff about changes in patient’s clinical condition and diagnostic results.
- Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Fosters a positive milieu and keeps leadership apprised of risks to the facility.
- Provides direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of New Mexico.
- Acute care experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding nursing.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Able to read and communicate effectively in English. Must be able to articulate and explain complex information and comprehend written and verbal communication.
- Additional languages desirable.
- Detailed computer knowledge.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and human relation skills.
