Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

Labor and Delivery (15 beds)
Shift: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
Weekly

Hours:

36 or 48 hours (option available)
Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,090 - $2,140
Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/8/2025 – End: 12/8/2025)
Weekend Requirement: 4-6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
Active NM or Compact Registered Nurse license (required at time of submission)
Required

Certifications:

ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred)
Proficiency with electronic charting systems
Ability to float to similar clinical units as needed
First-time travel nurses welcome!
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from facility

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a busy Labor & Delivery unit
Assist with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, circulate for C-sections, and recover post-surgical patients
Perform antepartum assessments, triage obstetrical patients, and conduct sterile vaginal exams
Utilize external fetal monitoring (EFM) and manage insulin drips, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives
Maintain central lines (CVC/PICC) and follow isolation precautions/PPE protocols
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
Accurately document patient care in electronic medical records
Participate in orientation modules and ongoing nursing education
