Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring a NM or compact RN license and cardiovascular experience.

• Work in the PCU of a hospital specializing in cardiovascular care
• Night shifts (18:30–07:00) with the option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Patient ratio is 1:4 with a 55-bed unit
• Weekend shifts required on a rotating basis
• Floating to other units may be required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses EPIC documentation system; EPIC experience preferred
• Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis
• No local candidates within 50 miles will be considered
• Former permanent staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved
• No requested time off allowed during the first week of orientation
• Any color scrubs allowed, but no logos

• Active NM or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CPI certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of PCU experience required; 2 years preferred
• Cardiovascular experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
