HSRR Nurse Educator

The University of New Mexico, College of Nursing is seeking a master’s prepared Nurse Educator to join our team at the Health Science Rio Rancho campus. The Nurse Educator will facilitate clinical and lab educational activities, follow established nursing processes, and supervise nursing students. This on-campus position requires direct in-person facilitation and a primary residence in the Albuquerque area. The candidate will demonstrate proficiency in MS Office Suite and strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Collaborate with staff and faculty to deliver and evaluate clinical and lab education.
• Supervise nursing students and ensure clinical learning standards are met.
• Stay current with clinical procedures, technologies, and maintain a current RN license.

• Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• At least 3 years of directly related experience.
• State of New Mexico Licensed Registered Nurse or pending licensure documented by temporary licensure, or current RN licensure from a state participating in the multi‑state compact with New Mexico.

• MSN or higher.
• Clinical evaluation experience.
• Experience facilitating educational activities.
• Precepting experience.

• UNM will provide Hepatitis vaccination; candidate may decline vaccination.
• Must pass a pre‑employment criminal background check.
• May be subject to credentialing; must maintain credentialed status.
• Must maintain certification status.
• Compliance with the university’s influenza vaccination requirement for clinical staff.
