Full‑time Nurse Practitioner, Thursday – Sunday shifts (32 hours). Provides routine care and management of patients with complex chronic and acutely ill conditions. Works collaboratively with the supervising physician.

• Provides treatment for current medical diagnoses and promotes wellness and prevention of complications.
• Performs patient care management, consultation, admission, accurate and timely history and physicals, develops and directs treatment plans.
• Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, prescribes medications, and writes timely discharge summaries.
• Assesses patients for change in status and initiates appropriate interventions, including emergency interventions to stabilize the patient.
• Promotes evidence‑based care guidelines, including sedation management, thrombosis prophylaxis, central line management, ventilator management, and ventilator‑associated event prevention.
• Oversees patient length of stay and discharge goals.
• Serves as a health‑care resource, leadership consultant, interdisciplinary consultant, case‑management consultant, and patient advocate.

• Unencumbered, current New Mexico RN and ARNP licensure.
• Completion of annual education requirements.
• Attendance at facility P&T and Quality MEC as requested by CEO.
• Adherence to dress code; neat and clean appearance.
• Maintenance of patient confidentiality at all times.
• Reliability: report to work on time and as scheduled.
• Wearing identification while on duty.
• Professional representation of the organization at all times.
• Compliance with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices.
• Effective and consistent communication of clinical and administrative directives to personnel.
• Experience:
  
  3–5 years in patient care services and/or management (desired but not required).
• Demonstrated leadership ability and application of sound administrative principles.
