1:1 Registered Nurse (RN)

• Current RN license in New Mexico (or compact license)
• Experience working with children with medical complexity and developmental disabilities
• Familiarity with seizure protocols, mobility support, and respiratory management
• Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach
• School nursing experience preferred but not required
• Current First Aid or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR/BLS) certification
• Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
• May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required

1:1 RN:
School-Based Contract through the 2025/2026 school year – 37.5 to 40 hours per week Contract follows the academic district calendar

• Provide one-on-one nursing support to a student with significant medical and developmental needs
• Support a non-verbal student with mobility assistance, including wheelchair use
• Monitor and respond to seizures and implement care plans
• Manage inhaler use, aspiration risk after meals, and toileting needs
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, and other staff as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Use sound clinical judgment to ensure student safety and well-being

$1,800 – $1,920 per week
