Job Title:
Welder
In this role, you will work as a welding fabricator in a shop dedicated to fabricating metal pieces, such as stairs and railings. Your primary duties will include moving materials, measuring, cutting, grinding, fitting, and welding. You will use various tools to align and fit parts according to specifications. Safety and teamwork are paramount in this industrial fabrication setting.
Responsibilities- Move, measure, cut, grind, fit, and weld metal materials.
- Use various tools and equipment to align and fit parts according to specifications.
- Maintain safety standards and work collaboratively with team members.
- Proficient in welding techniques and reading blueprints.
- Experience in using hand tools, saws, and plasma cutters.
- Ability to use a tape measure and read measurements such as 1/16", 1/8", 1/4", and 1/2".
- Must pass a test to demonstrate measurement proficiency.
Skills & Qualifications
- Preferred experience in an industrial setting.
- Experience with hand/power tools and hand torches.

Work EnvironmentWork takes place in a structural steel fabrication shop, producing architectural pieces like stairs and railings. PM shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday through Friday. A 10% differential is offered for 2nd shift workers.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albuquerque, NM.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
