SummaryEntry‑level position performing basic functions on assigned projects while working in accordance with general objectives. Involves activities such as electrical component inspection, reviewing inspection paperwork, simple cable testing and measuring for product acceptance. Quality Technician I’s work with leads/subject matter experts to interface with engineers and provide quality control inspections.
Duties and Responsibilities- Learns from leads/subject matter experts to perform documentation review and visual inspections of parts, assemblies, cables, subassemblies, production processes, and simple cable tests on internally and externally manufactured items.
- Participates in teamwork related activities without expectation to demonstrate any informal leadership skills.
- Develops skills to operate computers and function in a lab/manufacturing environment, follows detailed inspection/test instructions.
- Assists in ensuring control of product per required documentation, forms, numbering, labeling, and assessment of tightly controlled items and applicable training.
- High school diploma required.
- Ability to travel as determined by the needs of the business.
- Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on‑site as directed by management.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
- United States Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Windows & Office)
- Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, etc.
- Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability in decision making, organizing, and problem solving.
- Formal training or practical experience equivalent to technical knowledge obtained in military training courses or through a two‑year technical degree.
