Sr Production Planner (Finance)
Trans Core-Amtech Systems (AMS), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full time Sr. Production Planner to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
SummaryPlans, schedules, coordinates, and monitors production builds through the complete production cycle, including shipment, and communicates issues concerns on product to reporting management. Analyze sales order requirements, production plans, material availability, manufacturing capacity, and product documentation/requirements to determine product availability dates and establish production schedules and priorities. Support new product introduction from engineering to production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Establishes, communicates, and maintains product build schedules.
- Generates work orders to meet build requirements.
- Coordinates builds and resolution of material shortages, issues, priorities, etc.
- Provides inputs regarding the feasibility of the production plan.
- Provides lead time inputs to support requests for quote.
- Manages material moves in areas of responsibility through effective and accurate use transactions within the ERP/MRP system (Visibility).
- Utilizes and actively interfaces with ERP/MRP systems (Visibility).
- Schedules work orders to meet production ship dates. Assures availability of materials required to support production builds.
- Manages and coordinates projects for prototype/pilot builds for new product introduction.
- Assigns work orders to mid/entry level planners
- Coach and mentor junior production planning staff
- Typically requires 10-13 years of related experience
- Typically requires a BS degree from four-year college or university, APICS certification may be considered in lieu of degree
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience with database software/database.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring, or leading a team.
- Proficiency in ERP software (i.e., visibility) and MS Office applications.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; sit;
Constant or frequent typing on a keyboard requires repetitive hand and finger motions; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and climb stairs. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move packages up to 25 pounds.
