Operations provides warehousing, packaging, transportation, bleach manufacture, and office support functions for the district or Company. The operator performs various functions in the compressed gas filling process.

• Performs all tasks associated with the filling of compressed gas cylinders and/or ton containers, such as evacuating, cleaning, inspecting, testing, painting, replacing valves, filling, and tagging.
• Loads and unloads trucks and trailers, including tankers.
• Completes filling logs and other plant reports.
• Connects and disconnects railcars.
• Manufactures bleach.
• Analyzes product samples.
• Performs minor maintenance tasks on equipment or piping.
• Attends safety and training classes.
• Assists with general plant housekeeping.
• Visually inspects cylinders and ton containers and their removable components in accordance with DOT standards.
• Required to be a part of the Emergency Response Team.
• Other duties as assigned. May be required to perform any or all of the previous job tasks, depending upon the organization and size of the plant.

All employees of PVS are expected to work safely, follow all procedures and wear the proper safety equipment at all times on the job. PPE has been determined by the Safety Data Sheets, manufacturer recommendations, workplace hazard analysis and from personal exposure monitoring data. This PPE is provided by PVS and includes:

• Safety glasses
• Company issued uniform
• High visibility clothing as needed
• Bump cap

Additional PPE may be required based on the task or operation being performed. Refer to PVS′s full PPE policy for specific requirements.

Worker may be exposed to:

• Hazardous materials, Bleach, caustic, HCl and chlorine gas
• Outdoor weather conditions, working in salt yard and changing roof filters
• Work irregular hours, swing shifts, Day and Night Shifts with 12-hour shifts
• Employees are expected to report to work on time and to work overtime, when necessary
• General company policies regarding attendance, sick leave, PTO, and leaves of absence apply.

High school diploma or equivalent.
One to Two years of stable work experience, preferably in a production environment.
Ability to work overtime & a rotating schedule (additional hours, holidays and weekends based on business needs)
