Job Description
Join our team as Director of Operations!Teaming up with the General Manager, the Director of Operations is the go-to leader who keeps the hotel running smoothly! You’ll keep costs in check, raise the bar on quality, and inspire your team to deliver unforgettable guest experiences. Your days will be filled with crunching numbers, reviewing business stats, and making sense of financial reports—but there’s plenty of action too!
You’ll help shape winning sales and marketing strategies, making sure the hotel shines and stands out from the crowd.
This position is an overtime eligible manager (OEM), overtime does apply and is calculated accordingly.
KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES- Revenue & Marketing Leader: Oversee all hotel revenue streams and develop effective marketing and pricing strategies to maximize profitability across departments.
- Sales & Guest Experience Champion: Drive sales through relationship-building and proactive account management, while promoting hotel policies and delivering exceptional guest service.
- Financial & HR Manager: Prepare budgets, monitor financial performance, and produce reports. Lead human resources initiatives focused on employee motivation, development, and retention.
- Asset & Compliance Steward: Protect hotel assets through maintenance programs and quality reviews, ensuring compliance with all laws and company policies.
- Team Builder & Communicator: Set clear roles and goals, host regular meetings, and keep open lines of communication to drive team performance and meet corporate objectives.
- Professional Role Model: Maintain a polished, professional image, adhere to attendance guidelines, and remain flexible in taking on additional duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or hotel hospitality experience required; minimum 4 years of related experience or equivalent education.
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills; attention to detail with planning, organization, and computer proficiency.
- Mathematical and general accounting knowledge, including budgeting, profit/loss, and variance analysis.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Alcohol Awareness, General Manager) as required by franchise.
- Adaptable to a fast-paced environment and willing to be on call as needed.
