Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Road Striper to join our team. The Road Striper will be responsible for applying pavement marking on highways, roads, parking lots, and other surfaces to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow. The ideal candidate will have experience in road striping, managing jobs in the related field, a keen attention to quality and detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities- Operate line striping equipment and machinery to apply thermoplastic, paint and other pavement markings accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare surfaces for marking by cleaning, repairing and ensuring proper adhesion for markings.
- Measure and mark out lines, symbols, and other road markings according to specific dimensions and regulations.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Collaborate with crew members and project manager to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs of striping equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Keep accurate records of materials used and work performed on each project.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in road construction or maintenance, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in road striping, pavement maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Valid driver license and clean driving record.
- Pass a drug screening test.
Ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, and lift heavy equipment or materials as needed. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
