Job Overview

The Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown Hotel is a team of dedicated, guest-focused, hard‑working hospitality professionals who are empowered to provide excellent service to all guests and clients of our hotel, including our internal team members as well! We are currently seeking a friendly, professional, knowledgeable team member to join our maintenance team! This team member will be responsible for keeping all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day‑to‑day maintenance of the hotel under the direction of Engineering Management.

Handling of guest and service requests in a timely, professional manner.

This experience we are looking for can be a combination of grounds/building maintenance, heating/cooling, painting, mechanical, refrigeration, construction, plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, plumbing, electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners, cosmetic items, replacing electrical switches and outlets, assisting with high speed internet problems, HVAC problems and programming TV’s, read, log, track and interpret reading from meters, gauges and other measuring units, swimming pool and spa maintenance, and other similar duties/experience.

Overall you will conduct room preventative maintenance on all 295 rooms, buildings and equipment.

Work Schedule

Hours scheduled and will vary weekly between Monday–Sunday. Weekends and holidays are required, as well as some overtime based on the needs of the business.

Experience & Qualifications

Experience: The ideal candidate needs a desire to learn and develop their skills in the field. A pleasant attitude and outgoing personality, the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, strong verbal communication, excellent time‑management skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple changing priorities is a must! He/She must demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to understand guest service needs and the ability to work cohesively with co‑workers and other departments as part of a team.

Required Experience: 2 years: maintenance related experience.
