Facility Maintenance Technician

Overview

VIP Staffing is immediately hiring a Maintenance Technician for an apartment property in Albuquerque, NM. This is a Full-time, temp-to-hire position. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. Pay for this position starts at $20.00 per hour.

• As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform maintenance projects and tasks with minimal supervision consistent with company policy and direction from the maintenance supervisor and/or property manager.
• Assist with administration of maintenance functions such as tracking inventory, data entry of work orders, maintaining updated records in relation to mold and mildew log, pool log, etc.
• Maintain the highest level of customer service for prospects, residents, vendors, and corporate departments.
• Record and maintain employee time sheet of all hours worked.
• Day-to-day duties and responsibilities are determined by where technicians work; there are many core tasks associated with this position. These can include but are not limited to:
  • Repair of Plumbing Fixtures.
  • Electrical Repairs.
  • Painting and Dry Wall.
  • HVAC repairs.
  • Grounds Maintenance.

• High School diploma or equivalent, college and/or trade school preferred.
• Relevant certification strongly preferred.
• One to two years industry experience or three years general contract maintenance experience.
• Proficient knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair with hands-on experience.
• Knowledge of environmental/industrial hazards as they apply to residential housing.
• Available to be "on-call" when requested and promptly respond to work order requests during assigned periods.
• Proven organizational and time management skills.
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance required.
• Ability to read and write English; speak English and understand spoken English.
• General understanding of MS Suite, property management software preferred.
