- Perform housekeeping tasks according to daily assignments and established procedures.
- Maintain assigned work areas in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner.
- Follow infection control and safety precautions while cleaning.
- Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, and heating/cooling units in resident rooms and recreational areas.
- Sanitize bathroom fixtures, windows, mirrors, floors, carpets, walls, and ceilings.
- Remove dirt, dust, grease, and film from surfaces using proper solutions.
- Clean hallways, stairways, and elevators.
- Dispose of waste in proper containers and re‑line receptacles with plastic liners.
- Report hazardous conditions, accidents, and incidents to the supervisor.
- Store equipment, tools, and supplies properly at all times.
- Maintain adequate housekeeping supplies inventory.
- Report maintenance issues such as burned‑out lights or other fixtures.
- Assist in terminal cleaning procedures when a resident is discharged or transferred.
- Follow fire‑safety policies and protocols.
- Assist colleagues with lifting heavy equipment or supplies.
- Keep work areas free of hazardous objects.
- Attend departmental and staff meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident‑care information and honor personal property.
- Turn in found articles to the supervisor.

- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: One year in a health‑care facility preferred.
- Job Knowledge: Ability to read, write, and speak English; follow instructions; interact tactfully with residents and staff; manage cleaning supplies; maintain clean and safe housekeeping areas; seek new methods and incorporate them into practices.
* Team members scheduled to work 24 or more hours per week are eligible for benefits; families of said team members will also be eligible.
