Under general supervision, the analyst performs a variety of basic technical tasks related to the assigned area of responsibility, working directly with business units and other stakeholders to gather business requirements.

Responsibilities

This role involves configuring and maintaining production applications particularly within HRP (Health Rules Payer) to meet payment accuracy needs across all lines of business. The analyst works closely with business units to gather requirements and perform essential technical tasks under general supervision.

  • Under direct supervision, responsible for providing basic configuration, testing/quality review, documentation and maintenance of applications. Provides a variety of basic tasks related to the assigned area of responsibility and works directly with business units and other stakeholders to gather business requirements.
  • Uses basic analytical and problem‑solving skills and an understanding of the business and systems to resolve problems with production applications. Participates with testing and validation efforts.
  • Has basic knowledge and understanding of the configuration relationships between subsystems, applications, modules, etc. Works with end users to identify needs and resolve problems.
  • Participates in review, impact assessment, testing and modifications for application updates, upgrades and installations.
  • Gathers and creates business requirements.
  • Projects work.
  • Independent decision making.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a related technical or business area plus 0–2 years of experience in IT. Three years of additional experience can substitute for the degree.
  • 0–2 years of application‑specific experience.
