Description

Position Summary:

JGMS is seeking a talented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team! The HR Coordinator will provide assistance to the Chief Administrative Officer, HR team, and organization in the following areas:
  • Recruiting and staffing
  • Training and development
  • Policy and compliance
  • Performance management
  • Employee relations and engagement
This is a full-time position with a hybrid work schedule. On-site work may be performed from either Albuquerque, NM or Grand Junction, CO.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Recruiting and staffing
  • Conducting background checks, to include drug screens, reference calls, credit checks, etc.
  • Assisting with the development of job advertisements and management of job postings
  • Performing candidate phone screens, setting up and participating in employment interviews.
  • Developing recruitment documents, such as Offer Letter Requests, Position Requisition s, Offer Letters, etc.
  • Collection, organization and filing, and reporting of applicants .
  • Assisting with new hire processes by distributing, collecting, and confirming all required documentation with new employees, coordinating the timely return of all personnel and benefits enrollment forms, performing employment eligibility verifications using E-Verify, records management, and other onboarding activities.
  • Assisting with the development and delivery of On-Boarding and new employee orientation to new hires.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers and candidates to set up interviews and provide follow up as needed.
HR Support
  • Performance management, compensation, benefits, and labor relations.
  • Creating and managing surveys for employee engagement, and analyzing and reporting results to management.
  • Organizing HR events such as community service initiatives.
  • Collecting, reporting and presenting HR related metrics.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies of human resources management, talent management, and employment law.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Assists in employment verifications.
  • Organize, run and file reports for compliance in the following areas EEOC, ACA and Vets
    4212, and AAP.
Training and Development
  • Assist with the development and implementation of training policies, procedures and forms.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining company and employee training records.
  • Review and recommend approval of employee training requests.
  • Works closely with employees, supervisors and managers providing sound advice and guidance with implementation and compliance of JGMS training policies, standards and practices.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of formal and informal training to managers, supervisors and employees.
  • Assists with research, evaluation, benchmarking, and fact finding related to training and development programs and activities that may potentially be adopted by JGMS.
  • Selecting and managing resources, including working with training vendors.
  • Assist with the training and management of the HRIS system.
Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field with five (5) or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Knowledge and familiarity working with Applicant Tracking Systems and HR Information Systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to remain organized and complete work in an effective and timely manner with an attention to detail and quality
Desired Qualifications:
  • Concentration in Human Resources or Professional Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.)
  • Experience recruiting highly technical positions some of which may require security clearances
  • Familiarity with performing government HR or recruiting
Background Check and Screenings

A pre-employment drug screening and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verification is required.
