Housekeeper - Senior Living Community - Albuquerque

Full‑time position at Morning Star Senior Living. Pay Range: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour.

Schedule:

Sunday – Thursday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM.

Our Housekeeping Team maintains spotless homes for residents, learning their life stories as we clean. Housekeepers feel proud knowing they have done good work and receive appreciation from residents.

• Perform daily housekeeping tasks and follow established procedures.
• Ensure assigned areas are clean, safe, attractive, and well maintained.
• Follow infection control, safety practices, and use cleaning equipment correctly.
• Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures and surfaces, including windows, mirrors, floors, carpets and walls.
• Sanitize bathrooms and windows, mop, vacuum and disinfect.
• Dispose of waste properly and maintain lidded trash receptacles.
• Report hazardous conditions, accidents or equipment issues to supervisor.
• Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and store equipment safely.
• Assist with lifting heavy items as needed.
• Attend departmental meetings and follow safety/fire procedures.
• Respect residents’ privacy and personal property.

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• One year of experience in a health‑care facility (preferred).
• Ability to read, write and speak English and follow instructions.
• Good interpersonal skills with residents, families and staff.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new methods and maintain professional standards.
• Knowledge of health department standards.
