Get to Know Your Team: Lovelace Medical Group is a multispecialty provider group which includes clinics, doctors and advanced practice providers in a broad range of specialties and primary care.
Responsibilities- The position of Quality and Patient Safety Coordinator at Lovelace Health System is accountable for assisting the organization to improve quality, safety, and reduce operational risk exposure through performance improvement processes and meeting regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- This position supports a culture of high reliability and the measurement of care quality, identifying opportunities and executing on strategies for performance improvement in the following areas of the organization:
- Outcomes - highly reliable processes, delivering exceptional outcomes and/or optimal health
- Safety – Deliver the safest care to patients driven through leadership and a culture of high reliability, high value, and high performance
- Experience of Care - relationship-centered care grounded in empathy, dignity, respect, and collaboration.
This is a local hospital or Lovelace Medical Group quality-based role with key organizational relationships with hospital or clinic leaders and staff to drive safe and effective care across the organization. The position will participate in key committees and quality and patient safety initiatives to support the hospital and division's quality and patient safety plans.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in clinical Discipline (RN, RT, PT, other) preferred. Will consider a degree in Healthcare Administration or Public Health.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred
Job Requirements:
- 3-5 years of clinical experience, Experience leading successful Quality Improvement projects.
- Experience with change management with the ability to provide leadership in the adaptation and implementation of new processes and /or technology that enhance Quality and Patient Safety.
- Experience supporting patient safety and high-reliability programs.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- Experience working in a complex health system (hospitals, ambulatory clinics, post-acute care, etc.)
- Certification in Patient Safety or Quality is highly desirable.
