Patient Registrar III – Family Practice at Presbyterian Healthcare Services

Location:

8300 Constitution Ave NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico , United States

Base Pay: $15.60/hr – $24.35/hr

Responsibilities
  • Act as the Experience Ambassador, directing the patient, family, and visitor experience at Presbyterian Medical Group Clinics.
  • Welcome patients and visitors, facilitate registration, way finding, and concierge customer service.
  • Assist and mentor patients with kiosk registration technology.
  • Ensure accurate data capture to reduce denials, and process financial payments at time of service.
  • Respond to all walk‑in inquiries, including prescription pick‑up, scheduling, human‑medicine release requests, and message management.
  • Respond to patients in distress and promptly alert clinical staff while providing comfort.
  • Provide information on potential delays, transport assistance, and other consumer needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of insurance contracts and use tools to answer provider network questions.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience in healthcare or customer service with a strong customer‑service focus.
  • Demonstrated competency in scheduling and registration.
  • Ability to achieve EPIC competency within 30 days of hire or upon completion of Epic Clerical Training.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the customer encounter process: scheduling, registration, contract requirements, financial guidelines, coordination of services, and billing.
  • Pass annual competency exams for all areas of responsibility.
  • Attend quarterly MSO meetings, staff meetings, and employee forums.
