Job DescriptionThis field-based Sales Representative is responsible for executing brand strategy and tactics in the New Mexico territory, effectively managing assigned territory and targeted accounts, building strong customer relationships, and maximizing short- and long-term sales performance.
Responsibilities- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed objectives.
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance.
- Proactively serve customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win‑win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans that achieve set call metrics and optimize coverage to key customers.
- Continuously build understanding of customer needs, market landscape, competitors, and disease state information to share with the in‑field team and brand team.
- Differentiated Abb Vie’s value proposition with health providers, develop and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, pharmacy, or a related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least five years of experience in the pharmaceutical/health science industry, with at least three years within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry, and a high school diploma/GED required.
- In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge and recognized as an expert resource by all stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen, strategic and critical thinking capabilities, and proficiency in business tools.
- Proven track record of success in selling, solid presentation skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to customer style and behavior.
- Influences others, viewed as a credible role model, builds collaborative partnerships, and leads by example with positive behaviors.
- Documented success in leadership and support roles with increased responsibility at the district, region, or organizational levels.
- Preferred:
Proven success in sales performance within respective therapeutic areas and commercial pharmaceutical industry experience. - English language proficiency, valid driver’s license, and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
External:
Specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and others depending on brand plan. Internal:
In-field team members, sales management (i.e., DSM), marketing management, training, customer excellence, and brand plan stakeholders.
