Performs a variety of clerical support services for the efficient operations of the X‑ray department.

• Obtains all information necessary for admission and discharge of patients, including payment information for Presbyterian Hospital.
• Retrieves all medical records including pathology, X‑ray and outside reports from referring physicians.
• Answers all calls promptly and courteously, taking accurate messages and delivering them in a timely manner.
• Provides backup for all patient charges and insurance verification/processing.
• Prepares daily treatment, doctor, and simulator schedules and distributes them in a timely manner.

• Short‑term training in secretarial skills, ability to type 45 wpm, and word‑processor skills.
• Good grammar and communication skills.
• Knowledge of office equipment.
• Less than one year office experience in customer service or medical office.
• High school diploma or GED.
