Research Assistant Professor in Personalized Medicine for the Treatment of Alcohol Use Disorder at the University of New Mexico
This position is to work on an NIH grant evaluating personalized medicine approaches for the treatment of alcohol use disorder. The candidate will conduct research using predictive models/machine learning to test for individual differences in treatment effects using data from 11 randomized clinical trials, using the Individual Treatment Effect (PITE) framework. In this position you will have the opportunity to be the lead author on papers testing for the presence of individual differences in treatment and identifying individuals likely to respond best to a particular intervention.
Minimum qualification is a PhD or ABD in area related to behavioral medicine, personalized medicine, or alcohol use disorder.
- A track record of publication in personalized medicine, alcohol use disorder, or a related area;
- Experience using R for data analysis;
- Experience using predictive models and machine learning;
- A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university’s mission to serve local and global communities.
