Shift: Day, Full‑time, Outpatient

- Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital offers state‑of‑the‑art rehabilitation services and is accredited in six programs by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
- Perform occupational therapy assessment procedures consistent with patient diagnoses.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings.
- Provide detailed and concise documentation of evaluations, treatments, interim reports, and discharge summaries within departmental timelines.
- Mentor and train clinical support staff, new professional staff, and students/volunteers in patient‑care practices.
- Participate in the development and implementation of departmental performance and clinical program improvements.
- Complete basic occupational therapy competencies and departmental‑specific competencies.
- Meet productivity expectations for the level of care and FTE status.
- Utilize support staff and resources in accordance with departmental guidelines.
- Take ownership of assignments and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, understanding instructions and sharing knowledge.
- Collaborate with supervisors, peers, other departments, and all customer groups, demonstrating a commitment to service.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure or licensure eligibility in the State of New Mexico.
- BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.
- Strong communication skills and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and established procedures.
Job Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- At least one year of experience in a related environment.
