Patient Care Tech / PCT Rehab Nursing – Night shift, full‑time –

The Rehabilitation Nursing Patient Care Technician (PCT) works in an entry‑level position providing basic patient care under the direction of nursing and medical staff.

Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital provides state‑of‑the‑art rehabilitation services for patients recovering from health conditions and is the only rehabilitation hospital in the state accredited in six programs by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
  • Observe patients’ progress and prepare reports for Registered Nurses or other medical staff.
  • Obtain and record patients’ vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
  • Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
Qualifications
  • High School or GED.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 14 days of hire or transfer and before direct patient care.
Preferred

Job Requirements
  • Experience in Phlebotomy or completion of a Phlebotomy course.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • One year of experience in acute or long‑term care.
  • Working toward approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic (EMT‑P) certification.
