Base pay range: $40.08/hr – $68.24/hr

Sign‑on bonus: $20,000 (if eligible)

Relocation assistance: $6,000 (if eligible)

Perform a comprehensive range of diagnostic cardiovascular ultrasound examinations with a high level of independence and clinical expertise. Work across inpatient and outpatient settings, acquiring and analyzing high‑resolution digital images and performing precise measurements to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety, adhere to procedural guidelines, and contribute to best‑practice evolution within the department.

• Perform advanced echo cardiographic studies, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms.
• Conduct comprehensive vascular ultrasound exams (carotid duplex, peripheral arterial and venous studies, abdominal vascular imaging).
• Collaborate with cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to interpret findings and support clinical decision‑making.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely reporting of results.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment in accordance with manufacturer and hospital standards.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuing education.

• Graduate of a two‑year allied health training program (ultrasound technology preferred) or bachelor’s program in health science (e.g., cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing).
• 10 years or more experience in inpatient/outpatient cardiac ultrasound.
• New Mexico State licensure under the New Mexico Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program (NMRTT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certified as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI: RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS: RDCS) and as a Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI: RVS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (ARDMS: RVT), or promotion to Lead OR resource sonographer based on experience.
