In this role, you will be responsible for administering radiation treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist, ensuring precision, patient safety, and comfort throughout every step of care. - Administer safe and accurate radiation therapy treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and patient set‑up aids.
- Ensure precise treatment delivery, accurate data capture, and maintain detailed records.
- Monitor patients during therapy and report unusual reactions to the oncologist.
- Comply with departmental quality assurance and safety standards.
- Verify prescriptions, treatment plans, and documentation for accuracy.
- Maintain competency through ongoing training, seminars, and licensure requirements.
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and demonstrate initiative in patient care.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate Degree
- Graduate of a JRCERT accredited program in radiation therapy or a suitable equivalent
- NM Radiography Tech (NMRTT)
- Certified and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy.
- Must be certified and licensed by the New Mexico Environment Department’s Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program within 30 days of hire.
