Job Details:

• Work 36 or 48 hour shifts in Emergency Department

• Patient ratio of 1:5 for all shifts (days, nights, weekends)

• 2 years of experience required (will review 1.5 years);
Level I Trauma preferred

• Travel experience strongly preferred, however client may consider candidates with 2+ years Level 1 Experience

• Must have TNCC certification BEFORE submission

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH (can pend until compliance due date), PALS, TNCC

• New Mexico license can be pending at time of submission

• No RQI certifications accepted

• Weekend coverage required as needed - weekend days are Saturday and Sunday, weekend nights are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

• No on-call requirements

• Floating to Pediatric ED is optional, floating to Adult PCUs is expected based on staffing needs

• Potential floating to ED Holding and Trauma DOE

• Guaranteed contracted hoursper week with facility allowed to call off 3 times throughout 13-week assignment

• 24 hours of orientation

• Medication administration including IV medications via seven medication rights

• Document and communicate clinical findings

• Bar code medication scanning required

• Black scrubs required (not provided)

• No parking fees

• Must live more than 75 miles from facility

• Overtime must be pre-approved by client (approval is rare)

• RTO restrictions apply - greater than 7 days needs approval
Facility:
This is a Level I Trauma Center and Children's Hospital with 554 staffed beds, serving as a major teaching hospital providing short-term acute care. The Emergency Department sees approximately 60%-80% admissions with many ED rooms functioning as "ED Holding" areas. The facility maintains a daily census of patients with about 175 visits per day across 53 rooms and 68 beds. The facility is a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services.
