Clinic Director – Psychology Clinic
Lecturer III non‑tenure stream faculty position to begin July 2026. The Clinic Director will oversee the UNM Psychology Clinic, manage day‑to‑day operations, supervise students and staff, ensure client care quality, and maintain financial sustainability.
Responsibilities- Coordinate all service requests through the Clinic
- Provide clinical supervision and training to doctoral students
- Develop and oversee external practicum opportunities for students
- Train graduate students in using Time2
Track for internship - Coordinate contracts with community partners, negotiate grants and government contracts for behavioral health
- Attend the Association of Psychology Training Clinic (APTC) annual conference
- Demonstrate high standard of professional conduct and adherence to ethical and legal standards in operation of the Clinic
- Determine policies and procedures for clinic operations, monitor budget, establish client fee schedules, and lead fundraising efforts related to Clinic
- Supervise the Administrative Assistant and clinic graduate assistants
- Participate in clinical staff hiring and conduct performance reviews of clinic staff >
- Attend Psychology clinical faculty meetings, case conference presentations, and work closely with Psychology clinical faculty
- Report to the Director of Clinical Training
Contribute to the educational mission of the Psychology Department
- Doctorate in an APA‑and/or PCSAS‑accredited Clinical or Counseling Psychology program
- Completion of an APA‑approved pre‑doctoral clinical internship
- At least two years of experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- Eligible for or currently possess New Mexico state licensure in psychology
- Demonstrated commitment to empirically supported treatments
- Evidence of ability to treat common psychological disorders (e.g., anxiety, mood)
- Working knowledge of the psychological clinical science training model
- Experience providing clinical supervision in psychotherapy and/or assessment
- Experience obtaining grants and/or contracts for behavioral health
- Evidence of developing external practicum placements for students
- Marketing skills for psychological services
- Skills in managing budgets
- Commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities
- Ability to work with diverse populations;
Spanish language fluency is a strength - Evidence of teaching experience
