Job Summary:
Provides cardiopulmonary diagnostic and respiratory therapeutic support for patients in the Hospital and/or outpatients that require cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing, respiratory treatment, and/or ventilatory support, flexible, and accustomed to fast paced environment.
Shift Details:
-Varied shifts; do not guarantee block scheduling
-On call, weekends, and holidays are required.
-Varied assignments
-Floating required - may need to float to other care areas within the facility and alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location.
-May fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs.
-Traveling in pairs is NOT guaranteed same schedules or same shifts.
-This is a 13-week contract assignment; may consider 26-week contract based on need.
Skills Required
Skills & Experience:
-Two (2) years of combined current experience required in NICU and PICU.
-Six (6) - twelve (12) months of adult critical care, progress care, medical surgical care, and general pediatrics experience.
-Must have initiated and managed high frequency oscillation and jet ventilation within two (2) years current experience.
-Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
-Epic experience is not mandatory but a plus Required
Education:
-Associate’s degree or Diploma in Respiratory Care. Required Certifications & Licensure:
-New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
-Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC.
-BLS required (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross).
-ACLS (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross).
-NRP or NALS certification (American Heart Association).
-PALS certification completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
