Job SummaryPresbyterian is seeking a detail‑oriented Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations, including filling medication orders, pre‑packaging, compounding, refilling supplies, delivering medication, and performing clerical duties under a pharmacist’s supervision.
Responsibilities- Perform non‑sterile medication ordering, preparation, and dispensing activities
- Fill medication orders for inpatient and outpatient areas
- Use pharmacy technology systems (Pyxis, Pharmogistics, CII safe)
- Compound, label, and repackage non‑sterile medications
- Pack unit dose, cart, tray, and kit preparations
- Handle non‑sterile hazardous medications and dispose waste properly
- Maintain record‑keeping for controlled and non‑controlled substances
- Deliver supplies to patient units and ancillary areas
- Answer telephone and respond to questions and problems
- Monitor stock, identify and reorder outdated inventory, and ensure adherence to manufacturer requirements
- Adhere to the Department Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances
- Perform other functions as required or assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- Pharmacy Tech state license in New Mexico
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) or Certified Pharmacy Technician (NHA)
