The Division of Endocrinology, within the Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking a Research Coordinator to support NIH-funded clinical trials. This position involves work in office settings, laboratory spaces, and clinical areas where participant interactions occur.
Primary Responsibilities- Schedule participant visits (in-person or remote) in accordance with study timelines.
- Prepare study materials, supplies, and equipment before each visit.
- Administer questionnaires, collect medical histories, and document demographic information.
- Maintain regular communication with participants for follow-up visits, reminders, and retention efforts.
- Accurately collect, record, and enter study data into case report forms (CRFs) or study databases, ensuring completeness and timely entry.
- Handle biological specimens (e.g., blood, urine, saliva), including collection, labeling, processing, storage, and shipping per protocol.
- Maintain organized research files, logs, and documentation in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and institutional policies.
- Adhere to all federal, state, institutional, and sponsor regulations (including FDA, HIPAA, and ICH-GCP).
- Manage inventory of study supplies.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Principal Investigator or study coordinator to support study success.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
- Direct interaction with research participants before, during, and after study visits
- Data entry and database management
- Handling and processing biological specimens
