Programs for Children and Adolescents (PFCA) is an outpatient therapy clinic that provides individual, group therapy, and psychological testing services for children between the ages of 5 and 18. Our mission is to provide culturally responsive, safety‑focused, and evidence‑based outpatient behavioral health services to improve the emotional, physical, and spiritual health of the youth and families in our community.
Clinic hours:
Monday through Friday. No weekend work requirements and no on‑call.
Sign‑on bonus available. Relocation assistance available.
Compensation: $48.43/hr (minimum) – $68.09/hr (maximum). Compensation reflects experience, education, and other business considerations.
Position SummaryResponsible for mental health care and education across all age groups. Ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Detailed Responsibilities- Provide psychological evaluations; assess individual and group treatment and family interventions.
- Participate in staff education programs; orient new employees; provide psychological input at patient care conferences; provide direction for new or temporary personnel.
- Document all patient care activities/interactions; collaborate with community and state‑wide mental health agencies to ensure follow‑up patient assistance.
- Direct support staff as needed.
- Establish and maintain good rapport and effective working relationships with patients, visitors, physicians and hospital employees.
- Follow patient safety‑related policies, procedures and protocols and proactively seek opportunities to improve patient safety.
- Identify, report, and correct environmental conditions and/or situations that could put a patient at undue risk.
- Encourage patients to actively participate in their own care by asking questions and reporting treatment or situations that they do not understand or that seem wrong.
- Education – Doctorate Degree (Ph.D. or Psy.
D.) in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or Psychology. - Psychologist license in New Mexico.
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS provider or equivalent within 30 days.
- Documented experience in age‑appropriate environment.
- Minimal or no hazard physical risk; sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
- Bilingual English and one of:
Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo; at least 1 year of directly related experience. - Experience with pediatric, adolescent, or community mental health settings.
Sedentary work:
Up to 10 pounds of force occasionally; occasional walking or standing. All other sedentary criteria are met.
- Office environment with minimal hazard or physical risk.
- 60‑day written notice required for rehire eligibility.
- TB testing required upon hire and as necessary.
