Main Street Family Care Physician Assistant Preceptorship Program -- Goldsboro, NC Overview:

The Main Street Family Care Preceptorship Program provides aspiring healthcare professionals, specifically physician assistants, with hands-on experience and mentorship in a dynamic urgent care setting. Program Highlights:

  • Mentorship: Participants work closely with experienced healthcare professionals who serve as mentors, providing guidance and support.
  • Clinical Exposure: Gain experience with a wide range of patient cases, enhancing clinical skills and critical thinking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Engage with a healthcare team including physicians, nurse practitioners/physician assistants, medical assistants, and support staff.
    • Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited physician assistant program.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Preference for candidates interested in urgent care.
  • Have an active affiliation agreement*.
    • Application Process:
  • Submit a resume and answer application questions.
  • Qualified candidates will be contacted for a brief phone screening to discuss the program and answer questions.
  • Candidates will then schedule a 45-minute interview with the Clinic Management team.
  • If selected, we will match you with a qualified preceptor near you. You will be contacted with your placement details.
  • Receive a welcome letter and complete onboarding.
